AMC’s Estimating Department analyzes project plans and specifications to determine the overall cost of the project. Their responsibilities include a thorough review of the plans for constructability, accuracy, and value. The Estimating Department is skilled at both quantitative take-off and conceptual estimating. The estimating stage is where the scope of the project is identified by reviewing drawings and specifications, means and methods of construction, and project requirements that may not be depicted in the Construction Documents. Each scope is then reviewed concurrently against subcontractor bids received to ensure an accurate cost proposal is delivered to the Owner. We at AMC pride ourselves in providing both requested and unsolicited value engineering opportunities during the preconstruction and bidding phase of projects.
